What Onoize does

Onoize analyzes environmental noise and its impact on sleep, stress, and comfort.

Why it matters

Noise influences well-being and quality of life. Understanding sound helps you choose better places to live, work, travel, or enjoy cafés with comfortable atmospheres.

Decisions

Make smarter location choices before you commit, whether renting, buying, staying in a hotel, or picking spaces where you can focus and relax.

Environmental quality matters for business

Customers and guests value comfort. Quiet spaces improve satisfaction, trust, and overall experience, whether you run a café, coworking space, hotel, Airbnb, or real estate property.

Differentiate your business or property

Cafés, coworking spaces, hotels, Airbnb hosts, short-term rentals, and real estate can stand out with environmental quality. Quiet, comfortable spaces improve customer experience and perception of value.

Build trust with data

Sharing measurable quality metrics demonstrates professionalism and transparency. Environmental insights help customers and guests trust your space before they arrive.

For travel & stays

Hotels, hostels, guesthouses, and short-term rentals (including Airbnb) benefit from better guest experiences and stronger reviews when comfort is prioritized.

For real estate & property sales

Noise quality influences livability and property value. Environmental transparency helps buyers understand the living experience and builds confidence.

For businesses & customer spaces

Customer experience goes beyond products. Quiet and comfortable environments encourage longer visits and positive impressions.

Independent environmental insights

Onoize is built independently and uses data-driven methods to evaluate environmental quality. Assessments are based on scientifically recognized health guidelines to evaluate sound exposure. Measurements are analyzed to reflect real-world conditions such as daytime activity, nighttime quiet, and disruptive noise events. The methodology is inspired by international environmental and health research principles, including guidance from the World Health Organization on noise and well-being.

How QuietScore Works

Data-driven environmental insights for better understanding

Collaborative environmental data

QuietScore is generated using environmental measurements and geospatial analysis. Data reflects real-world conditions and is processed to provide objective insights about sound exposure and comfort.

AI & machine learning

Advanced analytics and machine learning interpret noise patterns to generate meaningful scores. This helps deliver consistent environmental evaluations.

Health-oriented framework

The methodology aligns with international health guidelines on noise exposure and environmental well-being to help users understand potential impacts.

Results

QuietScore
Measures environmental calmness and background stability. Higher values mean a quieter, more stable acoustic environment. Lower values indicate more noise activity.
Day Exposure
Daytime exposure approximates average continuous sound during daytime hours (typically 7:00–19:00). Based on guidelines, values above 55 dB disturb comfort and well-being. Higher score values indicate sustained environmental noise.
Night Exposure
Night exposure measures continuous sound exposure during sleeping hours (typically 23:00–07:00). Based on guidelines, values above 40 dB aim disturb sleep quality and health. Even moderate levels can affect sleep quality and health.
Health Risk (excess exposure)
Health risk estimates exposure above recommended guidelines.
Day Events
Percentage of disruptive noise peaks during daytime (e.g., construction, horns, sudden loud events). It measures how frequently peaks exceed background levels, not overall continuous exposure. Higher values indicate more frequent disturbances.
Night Events
Percentage of disruptive noise peaks during nighttime hours. Night events are particularly important because peaks can interrupt sleep. Higher values indicate more frequent disturbances affecting rest.
